Full-Time: Wolverhampton Wanderers Under 21's 1-2 Liverpool Under 21's. - A hard-fought victory for the Under 21's. Here is the match report from the club website: - That result moves us onto 14 points from our eight games. Tottenham Hotspur sit top of the group with 19 points from eight games whilst Manchester United sit 2nd with 15 points from eight games. We are one point behind Manchester United but are five points clear of West Ham and Southampton who are 4th and 5th respectively. West Ham have played a game more than us though so at the moment, we look reasonably secure in 3rd place.
Jordan Ibe, Teixiera, McLaughlin and Jack Dunn were the standout performers last night. Can't wait for McLaughlin to break through - he is naturally suited to the attacking full back position, more so than Wisdom and Kelly. His dribbling, his pace and direct play is brilliant. Jordan Ibe - this lad could be better than Sterling IMO.
lfc u21s team to face Spurs at........ANFIELD.......... today: Gulacsi, McLaughlin, Roddan, Sama, Jones, Coady, Peterson, Teixera, Morgan, Adorjan, Ibe subs mukendi baio ward brannagan nacho fairly weak side , will do well to get a draw
Spurs gone 1-0 up. McLoughlin beaten down the right, crossed in by the byline and Gulacsi should have just caught it but ended up going in off him for an OG. Poor goal to concede.
Wonder why Suso and Shelvey don't get a game if they're not coming on for the first team. Maybe travel would be unrealistic this week. From that side, I think McLaughlin, Tex and Ibe are the ones to watch.
I do, i just said you got lucky. If we finished, you would have lost. Because we had an off day, you won.
Why bother complaining about the commentary when it's on LFCTV and they're bound to be biased towards us?
Just a reminder that LFC Youth Cup Semi Final 1st Leg v Chelsea is being played 2moro night Friday 12th April at Anfield at 1945, I think its on itv4 and not LFCTV Should have McLaughlin,Ibe,Rossiter,Sinclair and hopefully Dunn who has a niggle in the 11
