Last throw of the dice by Cardiff. Let's hope they cannot find a few performances against Oxford and WBA at home and then Norwich away on the last day of the season.
I'd like to also, however recent results against Cardiff and Luton suggest otherwise. We have been poor in recent weeks with The Blades away being the exception.
It's down to a 3 game mini league now. We have a 2 point advantage over teams below us. So if we can't maintain that over 3 matches we have no one else to blame. It's still in our own hands - COME ON CITY!
It was precisely the same as oldman. The notion of having as many teams in a worse position as possible..
It's the city way. We don't care about Preston or Pompey. We want to minimise how many points Derby gain , those points are partially under our control. Let that be the 6 pointer if the expectation is we'll be safe with 4 more points.
matchweek 43: i dont think oxford or portsmouth are realistic relegation candidates now it's a mini 5 league with us at the top 3pm kicks offs cardiff v oxford luton v bristol city west brom v derby
Re. Oxford. If Cardiff beat them today, then absolutely they are realistic candidates! If they win then they're safe. Hopefully that happens, we win, and we breathe more easily.
i suppose technically they can go down but that suits us today, they wont give cardiff much of a sniff today
I don't like looking at other results, I've long felt that it's on us to get ourselves safe. But we've not done that and we're at a point where it's now impossible not to look at other results. That Cardiff game seems huge. They quite realistically could get their new manager bounce and win that and that would be a big problem for us because in all honesty, them and two others continuing to be crap is our best chance of safety.
You know the answer to that so why ask? But if the players trust him more than they did Riza he might get a tune out of them for a game or 2, and tat's all they need.
That's bollox mate, if Cardiff get the new manager bounce and turn oxford over, they are in deep ****, especially if we somehow manage a win today.
We are on thin ice. Both Luton and Cardiff can score and win, Derby already 2 up. Even if we scrap a draw today. we are still in danger.
that was an absolute rollercoaster of an afternoon please log in to view this image cardif 1-1 oxford west brom 1-3 derby luton 3-1 bristol city plymouth 3-1 coventry
so luton and derby can finish on 52 points we need 4 points to reach that we smash them on gd beat derby and we are safe
