Theres far too many belts in boxing for my liking in each weight division.. It should be more like MMA and just have one champion in each weight class.

MMA combines each and every fight style and is pretty much how a real fight would be like on the streets which is what makes it more entertaining for me.
We dont live in the olden days anymore where men would have a toe to toe fight to settle their differences.

Why not go the whole hog and have pub fights with two ****s trying to glass each other? Then a couple of massive diabetic bouncers could try and chuck them out on their arse. On the undercard, a pair of pissed up scrubbers try to tear each other's hair out.

Why would I want to have pub fights?? Thats abit of a daft statement to make really when alls im saying is real fighting is more about using every weapon in you Arsenal such as knees, elbows and fists, whereas Boxing is restricted to only one thing.
As much as I like boxing seeing 2 fighters using every tool theyve got against eachother is far more entertaining in my opinion .

No more ridiculous than your original statement imo. Boxing is a sport, that's my point.

I have no desire to watch two bumders thrashing about on the deck trying to put their hands up each other's grundies.

Have you actually seen an MMA fight ffs??
Most mma fighters are black belts in multiple arts of fighting which takes years of hard work and dedication.
Id much rather watch that than 2 blokes dancing round and hugging eachother at any given opportunity with only the use of both arms to fight with.

Well I have seen a few ****ing atrocious boxing matches, true. There was quite a prolonged period when a British Heavyweight bout, for example, meant two fat blokes in terrible condition puffing and sweating in each other’s arms for several rounds.

Their were some great middleweights around at that time though.

If you read my first post on this thread you will realise that no, I haven’t ever watched an MMA fight from beginning to end, and I have no desire to. I haven’t watched a WWF fight either, or Greco/Roman wrestling.

I have watched a few MMA fights and much prefer boxing. When they go to ground just find it boring, its good when they are fighting when standing up and kicking/punching but still not as good as watching a boxing fight as at some point one of the ****s will charge in and try and take the other one down, leading to more boredom.

MMA is more brutal and more of a street fight really. Much more skill involved in the art of boxing imo.

2 totally different things, like boxing and wrestling. I love the fact that at 61 I still have tremendous hand speed in both hands and hands like bricks and although living with prostrate cancer, can still get the rage to make them fly. Believe me a good street fighter with 2 good hands and a brain would drop most before they had time to get their elbows and knees into gear.. :)

    I can confirm that.

I rang his doorbell and was looking up at the clouds a second later!
