Thanks for the kind messages, It’s not the cancer that is doing this to him, It’s his liver, It’s finished.
Thanks mate ... pretty devastated... we were in the same primary school class together until my Uncle moved out to Earl Shilton when we were about 7 or eight ... whole family (my mum had 3 brothers and 2 sisters all in Leicester) would still meet up every Sunday until we were mid 5eens ... seems surreal to think that she is now gone ... even though we were given the diagnosis back in January.
Thanks Burly ... just been speaking to her brother ... he's a couple of years younger and understandably is in bits ... I think he was still hoping for a miracle ... they'd put her on some experimental drugs (she had nothing to lose) and for a short time there was some improvement in her condition ... mercifully itcsounds like the end came quite quickly once they put her on heavy sedation.
Only the body dies; what the person really is, can never die. My brother died two years ago. He was 50. To me, his spirit lives on inside everyone who knew him.
Really sorry to hear about the news, Matt and Fosse, hope you're both doing ok and thoughts with you and your families.
Sorry to hear that Matt. It's easier said than done mate but try an enjoy the time you have with him. Not sure enjoy is the right word here either tbh but it's too easy to focus on the inevitable and let the time left be an more miserable experience If that make sense?
Cheers Tobes ... feeling a bit numb ... just looked back at the last texts she sent me ... not the wisest move ... fortunately have an office here so was able to shut the door until I got my composure ba k a bit ... fifty ****ing eight ffs...
