Should McLeish be sued by Birmingham for breach of contract? Seems strange he leaves Birmingham on Sunday and is in talks with Villa on Monday. Is this what really happened? http://www.thedailytackle.com/2011/06/birmingham-city-end-of-season-party.html
He left because he was put in an untenable position in his view. The instruction was 'get us straight back into teh Premiership or your job is at risk'. That was acceptable, just. But then the financial position became clearer and he knew he had to rebuild his squad from scratch, still with the same objective. Then his chief scout was sacked without his involvement. That scenario is also why McLeish started constructive dismissal proceeding against the owners. There is no hidden agenda, or conspiracy. Just business gone wrong in the general hurt of relegation, Oh plus CY's misdemeanour. Oh and you might add that CY & his boys were a bit naive in making those strong statements to a manager with significant credentials, who could walk and get a job easily.
