    Spot on mate.

I've gone on record as saying i like Doyle, but the ideal for me would be to follow 2 paths that have served us up with our 2 finest strikers in recent memory, back to Spurs for Defoe (Bent) and back to Watford for Graham (Phillips).

We won't go for either though, but i think we will sign Ba, and i like him.

Ba and Defoe would be quite nice, thank you. Just don't see Defoe coming.

Be ****ing perfect mate, when Defoe blasted the equalizer against Blackpool i thought 'that's EXACTLY what we need'

I agree though, he just won't be interested.

That quote is an offence under the 'trades description act' Expat :) He was consistently inconsistent

I loved Kenwyne, i was on that side.

I nearly came to blows with one fella at the match for slating him.

We all casually talk about attaining a 20 goal scorer, but ONLY Berbatov has 20 to date. Tevez still has a chance (19), and Bent and RVP would need a hat trick to get there. Not easy to come by.

I know mate, that's why i've been backing Doyle, he'll only get 10-12, Gyan similar, but Doyle holds the ball well and plays well back to goal, that should mean Henderson and Sess, who we've seen can finish if they get in there, should have more chances.

Ba would win a lot of headers as well, that would again bring the midfield into play edge of the box.

Defoe can score out of nothing, that's his appeal.

Which all goes to prove how vital it is to have goals throughout the side.

agreed...Sess and N'Zog in the midfield with two quality new strikers sure sounds nice.

And big defenders knocking them in from set pieces - we've had a lack of that, too. Mind, we never get the ball as far as them, I suppose!!

    This is ****ing true.

I can't see us not getting Larsson mind, and his delivery is top class.

Hangeland is class, but there's no chance.

Repitition i know, but it's Johnson and/or Samba.

That's right - when did we last have a CB scoring "regularly"? Getting old - can't remember!!

Andy Melville used to get the odd goal like, Turner got a few when he signed.... that's it from me.

Oh, Dicky Ord scored a screamer at the Fulwell End.... once.

Cahill is perfect for Arsenal, as he's more of a 'footballer' than Samba.

Hopefully Arsene sees it that way.

    Should the article not be:-

"The rather terrifying reality of not being able to hold onto a top class striker.... "

Because unless we lose the little club mentality and pay top dollar then the Bent scenario will keep on happening, imo.

Cestria said. "Jones is a pile of ****e mate. We did well to get 8m for him. Why people rate this hapless ****** is beyond me. He spent more time on his fat lazy arse on Saturday than actually being effective as a forward. "

Did I just write that? No! You did.

Thanks for saving me the trouble.

Jones got his finger out when there was a Wembley final looming for Stoke. Prior to that he was as much use as Rod Belfitt.
