please log in to view this image Aberdeen has been on an excellent run of form lately but seriously need a decent striker to compliment McGinn. There has been a lot of talk around here that David Goodwillie could be on his way here very soon, but with his record outside football ----- 2008 --fined after someone had a glass stuck in their face in a night club. 2009 --fined for assaulting a bouncer in a bridge of Allan pub. 2010 --12 months probation after an assault in Glasgow. 2011 --Accused of rape, which was dropped due to "insufficient evidence". Personally since his move to Blackburn i don't think he has shown the player he was during his first spell with Dundee United & think with the wages he would command it would be an expensive waste of money, so it would be a no from me. ( can't see it happening anyway ) I know there is not many Dons supporters on here but all Celtic/Rangers supporters, would you have him in your team? please log in to view this image
http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/celtic-linked-with-summer-move-for-dundee-1103339 I know he's probably not good enough for Celtic now but if he was showing the same form as two year ago, would you have him in your team due to his off field antics?
Off field antics don't bother me in the slightest as I don't consider any player as a role model. As long as they are good enough and put the effort in I couldn't care what he gets up to in his private life. Only if his antics started to effect his game would I not consider them i.e. fat ronaldo.
I thought this was about the story in the news about a girl being raped in Aberdeen. Was expecting to see ER's pic.
That's some f**kin statement that . So one of your teams players turns out to be a rapist or a peado or a f**kin serial killer and it wouldn't bother you as long as it didn't affect his game ? Only from the mind of a tim !
To be fair Eric does say as long as it doesn't effect their game....,,rape and serial killing tends to earn you a custodial sentence and therefore would effect their game. I would rather have a more clean cut player at my club, mainly because it makes me physically sick reading/hearing fans defend their players when they have acted the ****. Prefer to sack a player off then try and defend their actions
The title of the thread is probably a bit misleading as he has never been convicted of rape, if (Big If) he was to come in and start banging in the goals all the rest would be forgotin. Still think he would be money wasted as he would be cup tied for the league & Scottish cups.
I think he would be a waste of money as he will be on a decent wage that would be better spent on a more natural goalscorer.

Other news, i see Aberdeen have cancelled Greg Wylde's contract. -- (Off to St Mirren). Pity because the few times he did play i thought he looked promising. http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20140115/gregg-wylde-leaves-pittodrie_2212158_3621817
I was delighted when Rangers didn't sign him as were the majority of our support. Far too much baggage.
