Cannon and Ball were described by Bernard Manning as "A unique double act- two straight-men".

Nobby is the 4th member of the 1966 World Cup squad to die this year.

Peter Bonetti, Norman Hunter & Jack Charlton the others.

No modern footballer from these Islands measures up to these Giants of the game.

Nobby has passed away now, a terrible loss to his family and friends.
But his memory will live forever, like his team-mates from that magical time.

I like every film he’s in.

In Highlander he played the best Scottish Spaniard ever filmed.

Connery was the perfect Bond for his time.
Assured, ruthless and absolutely stone cold.

Of all the actors who've played Bond since, I think Daniel Craig has come closest to capturing the unique portrayal of Bond that Connery gave us.
Casino Royale (2006) in particular I thought was a fantastic movie.
(great title song as well by Chris Cornell, also sadly departed now).

But on the silver screen there was only ever one true James Bond.
I'm going to watch 'Dr No' tonight on DVD.
    RIP 007...
