I'll tell you what I really think about politicians. The other night I watched some politicians on television talking about Vietnam. I wanted very much to burst through the screen with a flame thrower and burn their eyes out and their balls off and then inquire from them how they would assess the action from a political point of view. Harold Pinter
"Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realise that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods." Christopher Hitchens
"Violent, irrational, intolerant, allied to racism and tribalism and bigotry, invested in ignorance and hostile to free inquiry, contemptuous of women and coercive toward children: organized religion ought to have a great deal on its conscience." Christopher Hitchens
Billy Connolly makes a lot of jokes about football. He once joked that he thought for years that one club's name was "Partick Thistle Nil" and said of the disastrous manager of the Scotland World Cup team in 1978 that: ”Ally MacLeod thinks that tactics are a new kind of mint." . "Scotland has the only football team in the world that does a lap of disgrace." Billy Connolly
"We spend our lives on the run: we get up by the clock, eat and sleep by the clock, get up again, go to work - and then we retire. And what do they give us? A clock." Dave Allen
Interesting, the only obvious instrument that springs to mind for someone with one hand would be a trumpet or a horn of some kind.
There are a small number of works especially written for pianists with one hand. I went to a talk/recital by this guy where he played some of them. He is really good.
The drummer from Def Leppard lost an arm in a car crash. Remarkably, he now plays one handed on a significantly modified kit. Regrettably, Def Leppard sound as bad as ever.
How dare you! They're the sound of American Soft Rock. Via Sheffield. Sold a ****load of albums, to be fair to them. 100m+, apparently.
