Here's a very good Tip for you. Buy the Balti Pie on entering the ground, stash it somewhere till half time and then hope it's cooled down sufficiently to eat, otherwise a trip to the local hospital to have the roof of your mouth rebuilt is guaranteed. They're ****ing lush like but should carry a health warning and not be sold to children. Same for any of the pies really.
Seconded. Many a time I have lost taste for several days after going gung-ho into a Balti. I don't even know how that temperature is possible, hotter than the sun!
I've tried all kinds mate, a big glug of flat as **** fosters before the first bite, that doesn't work, a big glug of same after the first bit, that doesn't work either. You know one thing with them pies though, you'd never get salmonella would you? it couldn't withstand the severe temperatures those pies reach. First time I ever had one I was driving so decided to go for the Bovril to wash it down, ****ing double whammy that was. Never again.
pick up of the year, cant begin to tell you how much that has made my jaw hurt hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
40k average, 45k+ vs Man United and Newcastle Had about 45k last year after the 0-3 at the Wonga Dome against Everton who bring a good following. I reckon it could be about 43k
Just as an aside mate, as far as eating & drinking go's, there's a pub directly opposite the ground called the Colliery Tavern. Fine for well behaved away fans. It's small & will be heaving on Saturday. There is however a big tent around the back with it's own pumps. They also have a burger type trailer next to the tent that serves beer, so you can get served pretty quickly. There's also a burger van right next to that & another just across the road that both serve good grub. You're better off eating & drinking there rather than the overpriced muck served up at the stadium. I'll be there with my boy on Saturday.
So it's just over two days till the game against ulll, i'm coming over, both my previous visits at sun'lan, been in the lower tier so my questions on behalf of every single hull city to have ever attended a match and is making the grim trip oop norf to the land of the skates 1) Exactly how many steps are there until you reach the away concourse located in the upper tier? 39 of course 2) price of a pint of something half decent in the away concourse? You will need money as we don't employ the use of credit or bartering (leave your hens and sheep at home) 3) what delicacy would you recommend to enjoy with a half time pint? You will need lots of humble pie? 5) Which is the best side to walk on the green bridge? left or right side of the road? You seem like a 'middle of the road' kinda bloke to me like? I'd give it a try. 4) are the stewards strict on standing up? i'm near the back of the stand i think but i'd prefer to move elsewhere with others to stand than sit? Plenty of standing room in the Police cells for persistent felons 5) does anyone have any pics of the view from up there? i literally can't find one and searched for 8 minutes? I am sure pictures are far easier for you to comprehend rather than words judging by your spelling (which I have now corrected for you btw) 6) i'm predicting a 37,000 ish attendance, or am i aiming too high? You wouldn't possibly know what a crowd of that size would look like so I'll forgive your obvious ignorance thank you very much, this will ensure we all have a pleasant trip I trust you have a thoroughly miserable time Welcome to the home of the 2014 League Cup Finalists
If only I'd been joking mate, but I still haven't recovered 6 years on. See that bloke on 'Man V Food' on Sky? he'd lose that challenge for sure. He might be able to eat 47 burgers in ten minutes, or 26 bulls knackers all at once but he'd lose miserably if he came face to face with the SOL Balti Pie.
