Sadly he never threw down a challenge and it was left to Esoterique to complete a French one-two. Absolutely no surprise that the Lockinge form turned out to be useless. A blanket could have covered the first four at Newbury so punters thinking that Night Of Thunder was an each-way bet to nothing got their fingers burned.
