Rhino, we've established that the left/right on this thread are as messed up as one another. Andy is the immigrant & Muslim hating animal rights fanatic while Stroller is the hippy who jokes about the murder of children.

If you're looking for morality you're looking in the wrong place my man

Of course you are absolutely correct with regards Lansleys reorganisation "skills"- but tbh I was just picking random info to demonstrate to Goldie that the NHS really is in the process of being privatised and to show just how incestuous the relationship between Government and the private corporations involved really is.
Understood. The contrarian in me can't help pointing out the incestuous nature of the relationship between anti privatisation politicians, mostly Labour, and the public sector trades unions. Swings and roundabouts. Always follow the money.

Absolutely - both the left and right wings are equally as obsessed with the money SB.

Politician, irrespective of their colour are all cut from the same cloth.

Because joking about infanticide is just hilarious. Its either in poor taste or not funny, I'm sure you will have an opinion on this Stroller, I do.

If you are going to bash a Tory, it is usually quite easy but I think you appear to have gone slightly wide of the mark with these comments. A little bit like the Junior Hoilett of the Left Wing brigade.
Exactly. Thank you.

Immigration and animal rights do have a place on a political thread swords, poor taste is just that, poor taste Swords.:emoticon-0135-makeu

Dare I say it, but if one looks deeply enough into ANY political party, one could find evidence of 'corruption'. I say that in inverted commas because what one person might see as corruption, another may see as a favour. Simple fact is; people do business with people they know and trust. If that is the definition of corruption, then surely most of us are guilty, I know I am.

On that basis, Greg Dyke should never have handed back that watch, Sheff!

Generally, I think those who hand out government contracts need a light shone on them

I couldn't disagree. The point I am making though is that if one digs deep enough, one can conclude that all of us are guilty of corruption at some level. If I get a mate to decorate my house rather than going through the 'phone book*, is that corruption? I am sure we have all greased a few palms in our time.

*A phone book was a large book with lots of names and numbers in it, in the olden days.

The Existential Despair of the Left Award - Stroller. One day you may have a party with a chance on the ballot paper.

Doubtful, Stan.

It will be interesting to see which way the Labour Party goes from here. As you suggested, if the Blairites want to move the party further to the right they might just as well join the Tories. I kind of hope there is a realignment along the lines suggested by Tooting. The Tories are likely to tear themselves apart over Europe and their own leadership battle.

Loved this thread - not a QPR fan, and we had our own one, but I live in NW London so it was good to see what people who may live broadly in the same area thought. Cheers SB and the rest of you.

Oh, and BBH, Nigel Farage was going to bring back Fox hunting. I would have said get off your high horse but perhaps you need to stay on it and improve the jumping skills...

Twitter states anti-Tory riots in London? Nothing on BBC. Any word on the street locally?
If true, I find that incredibly annoying. 'The People' have spoken. If you don't like it, go and live elsewhere!
I know they're expressing their democratic right of protest etc but it gets anywhere near a few years back I hope the response is commensurate.
