So the fella out of Bastille is a Rangers fan. Good man. It seems to me we should be able to make an album of tracks by QPR fans. London Calling is a given, and we'll add Pompeii as I've already mentioned Bastille. Can we get eight more tracks?
Close to You - The Cure Child in Time - Deep Purple Time for Heroes - Libertines... Probably get a double album...
Pretty Vacant - Sex Pistols (Glen Matlock) I Want Your Love - Transvision Vamp (Wendy James) Chevy Thunder - Spector (drummer used to have the club badge on his bass drum) Personal Jesus - Depeche Mode (Alan Wilder) (I'll Love You) Til The End Of The World - Nick Cave (allegedly??)
Michael Nyman Chasing Sheep is Best Left to Shepherds If Nick Cave really is a QPR fan he moves from the legendary to the godlike category.
Julian Cope lead singer of The Teardrop Explodes is a QPR fan, so you could have Treason or Reward on the album.
Cool thread Stroller Well I was listening to Big Country Steeltown the week I attended my 1st visit to HQ. This song was not on the album but a B-side (remember them) to a single from that album and appropriate for a smallish club like ours..
Think I also heard that Rick Wakeman was a Hoops fan - should be, came from Perivale, and parents lived just around the corner from me in Northolt..... So, Journey to the Centre of the Earth
And Snoop Dogg wore a QPR shirt at a gig.... So, an apt tune of his for a QPR supporter... Ups and Downs
The excellent White Lies' drummer Jack Brown apparently sits in R block (he did an interview for Talksport recently). My contribution: White Lies - Unfinished Business.
