    It does and thanks for bothering with that much detail.

    I understand what you're saying and I don't disagree with any of it, but personally, I still want to act against and try to avoid the daft name bit in the middle(even if it is futile and i accept that it might well be).

    FLG reasonable and rational, I can live with a differing opinion like that.
    If there was a reasonable debate from the club, I am certain that many would support some form of change,, say for instance Hull City FC, in fact we could put pressure on our ground sharers to rename themselves Hull RFC.

    Interesting? I post as Alantf or Fez 2 on HDM, depending which device I'm using (simply problems registering or being recognised by the system and me not knowing how, or arsed to overcome it), nothing sinister as I have it on my profile and have openly declared it on a number of occasions on HDM.

    Look guys, to say a 'post is daft' is not a personal attack on the poster, simply that particular post, in the context of that particular conversation. Tomorrows another day and it is still Hull City AFC for me and nothing less
    <cheers>

    Let's think outside the box here.

    Maybe we can convince Hull City Council to rebrand themselves as Hull Tigers Council.

    That should be enough to dissuade AA's insane bid to destroy 109 years of proud history.

    I agree that is a reasonable and fair response from FLG. I don't understand though, Mel, why any change is needed when the only one that I have been able to discern that really wants it is the senior owner, who FLG quite rightly refers to as a 'mad old man'. (are we allowed to say that? <whistle> ). Change is probably inevitable, but why simply roll-over; it's more important that we make an issue of it and make them think twice before they implement (by the back door) their other planned changes?

    Fez, change is not needed, but the idea has taken hold within the ownership and unless an alternative is put forward there will be change. I do not support any change to the club name, but in the end I have to accept that Association may have to go.

    Perhaps I'm going to have to watch my weight because I will buy ****-all merchandise (except copies with Hull City AFC) if this goes forward - the commercial name is what it is, but bringing it up as they have, they have caused nowt but confusi0n and ridicule. Why compromise, just say no and see what happens; compromise at this stage is both futile and weak.

    But change is the objective of the spin. I'm not giving up, but watch the majority become appeased with a switch little back track.
