http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14366246.stm Has anybody seen this on the BBC, apparently the Mighty Reds is the 3rd cheapest day out in the Championship. I have always thought we were being had over and it turns out they are all at it. More than a fiver for a tea and a pie and still at the right end of the table. Of course we have fudged the result by claiming are cheapest adult matchday ticket is £15 I assume thats in the East End, to a member, whenever I have tried to buy and EE ticket on the day I have been sent packing to the Ateyo at about £23. Does a just walk up and pay ticket for £15 exsist at the Gate?
It is a dirty trick. I always said they would be better off doing tickets for £15 and filling it up, rather than having 12k paying £20. It the add on costs that kill the casual fan, I can no longer pay on the day and sit with my season ticket mates, so I have to find someone else to take, normally Mrs Pie, now that has just cost me £50 and we havent even had a brew. It will be a sad day when I eventually start going on my own to keep costs down. Buggery knows how people take their kids as well.
The prices do seem to be incorrect. If the highest price ticket is only £30 then screw sitting on plastic seats i'll go sit on the leather seated section. Also if you go to the ticket page and go on the first game (page) it states that adult tickets start from £25 and members can get £5 discount. Still not worked out how to get it down to £15. Doncaster are listed as being the 2nd highest priced clubs yet if their cheapest ticket is £27 thats still £3 cheaper than the cheapest ticket to sit in the Dolman stand. Me thinks the next time I need to go as a single ticket holder game I'll take this information along and ask for that package and see what they say.
well if that info was correct then your cheapest day prices for the ticket, pie, drink and programme is only £0.55 more expensive than our cheapest package. any neutral seeing that would say for £0.55 more you get championship football so people would be worth it. however as our pies are award winning and our programmes. are as well, and this season looks like our will be more exciting, i think we would be value for money
well its taken me a month to get you to admit that. i dont think it will be that long before i get you to admit were better than you
