    Not PL era but the old Saints team of the late 60s and early 70s could dish it out and the Captain and now beloved club President, Terry Paine was probably the worst although he was sneaky and sly apparently.
    Shankly labelled then "Alehouse footballers" and what they lacked in talent they made up in other ways.
