City look superb. And the strength of their squad really is rather apparent tonight. But whilst we have two games before we play them, they have Chelsea, Newcastle & then three days before us Liverpool. We won't let it look this easy, no way.

The hidden value in Liverpool dropping points yesterday is that City-Liverpool will now be a live game (if they beat Chelsea). Regardless of the points difference, City won't want Liverpool to win the title at the Etihad. So full strength against them, and not us.

Problem is City pretty much have two strongest 11s <laugh>

Let’s just say their team vs Liverpool is:

Ederson, Walker, Fernandinho, Laporte, Mendy, KDB, D Silva, Rodri, Sterling, Jesus, B Silva.

Their starting lineup could then almost completely change to this vs us:

Ederson, Cancelo, Garcia, Otamendi, Zinchenko, Gundogan, KDB, Foden, Mahrez, Jesus, Sane.

Absolutely I’d rather play their second string but they’re just so strong regardless of the team.

Aguero was injured last night though, so unless they play a youth player, or Sterling as a false 9 in some of their games, Jesus will be playing lots of minutes. They also have Champs League in August so they’ll be wary of injuries.

I think of all the teams in the league, having no fans will have least impact on Man City. They play every game as if it's a training game anyway!

Watford v Southampton

Referee: Michael Oliver. Assistants: Stuart Burt, Daniel Cook. Fourth official: Kevin Friend. Replacement official: Daniel Leach. VAR: Chris Kavanagh. Assistant VAR: Sian Massey-Ellis.

Fun fact: We've had the same referee for 3 pairs of fixtures (Oliver for both Watford games, Friend for both Norwich games and Pawson for both Villa games).
The good news is we won both Norwich and Villa games.
