I felt sorry for Villa at HT. It was a bit like re-watching our cup game vs Spurs.

But second half, Spurs were banging on the door throughout. Had it not been for Reina, that winner would have come much earlier.

One more goal and Son will have four consecutive seasons with 10+ goals and 6+ assists in the PL. A model of consistency, that.

Would normally want Villa to win that game but it’s great for us. Whilst it would be nice to finish in top 10, for now it’s about not getting sucked back into trouble

For every one worried about Relegation, we are in a better position than Newcastle, Palace, Brighton, Bournemouth, Villa, West Ham (and Watford as they are on 24 too).

You have to be REALLY pessimistic to think it is going to happen.

All that means nothing to me until we are actually mathematically safe.

An injury to Ings, or lose these next two games, and I will be in full panic mode.

We are in a healthy position when you consider the last two season, certainly. The thing that has spooked my goose is, if Villa beat us next weekend, we then become one result from them being able to jump us in the table. On paper the games we have coming up are seen as a nice set of fixtures. But, West Ham & Newcastle are the sort of teams we out play and lose to. That's not being dramatic, that's happened already this season. And then, to finish off the kind part of our run we go into the B'mouth game where they have the chance to inflict more pain on us, more pain than the 3-1 defeat at ours which was really horrid. It does not bare thinking about!
So, I suggest we beat Villa this weekend and put this debate to bed. Please.

Ha, I genuinely don't see it happening. If anyone's plummeting from so called safety then I'd wager that it would be Newcastle.
4 more wins will do the trick! Highest relegated was West Ham on 42. I.can see this year's 18th places team going down with 40. But 43, very, very, very unlikely!

Can you really not see us winning two matches?
