Maybe he is better than those two but that isn’t sufficient endorsement for me to have kept him.

If the last two years have been better for you than finishing 7th and a cup final I don’t know what to say. It’s been awful for me. Much as was bored by our football under Puel I’m sick of fighting relegation.

Suspect Puel would be fighting relegation if still here, though. Worth remembering that our near-relegation form didn't start when he left; it started midway through Puel's season. From mid-December on, we took 22 points in 21 games...not as bad as Pellegrino, obviously, but a portend of things to come.

Even if it's confirmed today, I presume he won't be in the dugout tonight. Nevertheless, hopefully it's still enough to motivate the Leicester players to get a result tonight. We could do with a favour from them. Brighton have enough winnable home games remaining as it is, without them getting a very rare PL away win.

I was thinking the same. The only reason that news is of interest to me right now is because Brighton play Leicester tonight. Hopefully the Leicester players meet Rodgers before the game.

Huddersfield winning away at Wolves must be the weirdest match of the season . They went up to 14th with that and probably felt quite happy, since then they've got 1 point <yikes>.

Rodgers confirmed as Leicester manager. Think he'll do well there.

Radio 5 live just been talking to someone who knows him, saying he was looking at Southampton before he took the Celtic job. Said it was a club that he fancied but now Leicester are the new Southampton.
