Wouldn't mind if Saints could play as gutsy as Everton are at the moment....even if they will probably lose anyway.
And in goes United's 2nd.
You're probably right. I fell into the trap of thinking a bit of passion and physicality would be enough. The Allardyce effect. Zero shots on target at home being the counter to that, did the same against Chelsea but managed to hold out for 0-0 in that one
thank god this united team was missing the other day.
2 great goals

And will be close to Watford....our next PL opponents. If, if, if.....Win tomorrow and we will be just 4 points behind Everton in 9th, we have to make our home games count now.
I didn’t say we didn’t play well against Everton, but you must admit they were poor as well. Ironically, Gylfi scored a worldy that day and he’s not done much of note since, despite Everton clawing their way up the table playing the Allardyce way. Football is never about one team, it’s an interactive thing between 2 sides, and that day we were by far the better side. We also deserved at least a point against United by virtue of our fairly solid defence and a few great attacking moves, and were denied twice by the best keeper in the world. On the other hand, Spurs were pretty clinical in despatching us on Boxing Day from the limited highlights I saw, and we weren’t very good at all. This and the other post about how well Everton played since we thrashed them are the same as when the press go on about the other team being **** when we beat them.
It naturally can’t be we actually played very well against Everton and the same the other day against Utd.
Honestly, we all need to be more positive in and of our play, it isn’t as bad as is often made out.
Cue us lose tomorrow night now...

I do agree though that sometimes we go a bit overboard on the negative aspects of how Saints are playing, and that there are always positives to take from any situation. If we’re in any position other than 17th after tomorrow I will certainly be reasonably happy!
he won't find it so funny when his friends and family know it was himWhat a despicable little ****.
They should punish the 'fan' by tying him to a chair in a room and giving Livermoore ten minutes with him. Utterly disgusting.
