Impressed by Morata, always rated him but didn't think he'd hit the ground running quite like he has.
 
Laws of the game geekery alert. Good example of how the new rule changes the maths. Now Mignolet knows he won't get sent off he might as well dive in full force to the challenge, knowing he's at worst going to give away a penalty. If he tries to stand up to him and Vardy gets there first it's a certain goal.

Silver lining for Palace: wasn't long ago that we became the first team to survive after losing our first four games of the season. Just think of how unbreakable a record it'd be if they lose their first eight (and probably score no goals, given that they're playing MCFC and Chelsea next) and survive?

And Benteke got injured yesterday. The main record in danger is Derby's 20 goals in a season I think.
 
Merson was asked yesterday about palace and said they are already down, I 100% agree with him.lost 5-0 yesterday and Chelsea and united in their next 2! Newcastle away and Everton and spurs follow not long after , their dead already IMO.

I don't mind merson , he does talk some sense at times on soccer saturday. I get fed up at times when Jeff asks le tiss about saints matters, and people seem to believe he speaks for all saints fans. He may have been a great player for us but does prove him self to be a bit of a nob at times, infact I prefer merson to le tiss as a pundit.
