I believe so. Can't begrudge them. 5 Live went from ManC unfathomably losing the semi final to a much more entertaining Palace winning their match against Liverpool at Anfield. At the time I was imagining Coutinho's face after I'd punched it. It was the same face he'd use after losing. I was pleased, adn yet I am not a violent man. But exceptions can be made. :)

Even a friend made the observation of Liverpool that defeat couldn't happen to a nicer team, Too true. ;)
 
All this focus on whether Coutinho should've had a penalty or not.

Why has no-one pointed out that he had a man totally free to his right with an open goal. If he'd just passed it they'd have scored.

I pointed out about 8 weeks ago that Burnley had a lot of away games still to come, whilst their handful of homes games included Spurs and Utd. Even that far out from the finish, I saw their season boiling down simply to their home games vs Stoke, WBA and West Ham. Well they did duly beat Stoke, and one win from those other two should be sufficient; I can't see Swansea overturning a minimum 8 point gap (8.5 points really, given GD), with Utd and Everton still to play in final four.

But if Burney were to , say, draw and lose those two games (unlikely, given their home form this season, but clearly possible), then suddenly there's a possibility.
 
Got to feel for the Newcastle fans....scarcely had time to enjoy their promotion. As Saints fans we know what that feels like....we rarely seem to get the chance to enjoy something before another worry raises its head.

Also involves joint raids in France....involving transfers perhaps.

WHU fans pooping themselves about the raid though. They really don't like the owners or Brady much, think they're a bid dodgy at the best of times. I'd think it unlikely this involves some one at that level (one can but hope) but as their fans indicate a points deduction is a distinct possibility if the club is found to have gained from iffy practices.

Even by football standards I can't help feel there is a lot of sheer greed around WHU. I just feel sorry for the real fans who, of course, will be the main losers.

Newcastle's managing director has been taken in for questioning, so goes quite high. These things are often not about outright stealing, but can be a case of finding a loophole and being too clever for your own good. HMRC can move the goalposts even if what you tried was legal at the time. There is a difference between tax reduction and tax avoidance. None of us would pay more than we had to...the difference is that we have fewer options. A case of watch this space.
