An intriguing game. Great comeback from Wolves. Some great football on display. But, now on to the real deal..........
It all started to go wrong for City when they were happy to spend £50m on Walker but wouldn’t stump up the money for VVD.
This year looks awfully like 2015-16, where 66 points got you CL, and you had a 60 point team fail to make Europe at all. Line for 4th is 64 at the moment, and the league is awash with competitive teams.
Var was farcical last night, over 5 minutes for a decision and taking of a penalty ffs Must have been ****ing awful for those at the ground. Genuinely struggle to put into words how much I despise it - we've been incredibly lucky with it so far but I'm almost certain that the day I attend a match with multiple lengthy delays that it will be the last PL match I ever attend.
It wasn't farcical. It got the penalty decision right and it took seconds to determine a retake should happen.
We'll always disagree here I think mate. I think 5 minutes from a 'foul' being made to the outcome of a penalty is a joke. Like I said, it must have been awful for those in the ground. I'm not even convinced it was a clear and obvious error tbh. Does seem to mean a different thing week to week.
You've got to remember it is in its first season in the PL. It's not going to be perfect. It was a clear pen for me, he stood on his foot. And players will learn there is no tolerance for encroachment so hopefully they'll stop doing it.
So, the one days rest has resulted in seven changes to Brighton, and five to B'mouth. A pattern of which we will see in all the games today.
Stephens - Yoshida Hojbjerg - Romeu Redmond - Boufal Obafemi - Ings Plus three subs means only three players do the double 90.
Brighton - B'mouth Identical records. And a draw drops us two places. Still, that's the result I'm hoping for. Keep them in the mix.
No, in this instance I would rather Brighton win, and then we can go 4 points clear of Bompey later. <crosses fingers>
