From thinking just a few days how dodgy Arsenal were looking, the two late defensive signings, in particular Luiz, could be huge for them. If they can sort out their defence this season, then they could be back in business. Aubameyang, Pepe, and Lacazette is hell of a forward line.

Man Utd though. **** me, weak in defensive-midfield, weak up front, they could be in for a really tough season. 8th or 9th if Pogba has another of his hissy fits.

You're welcome, Man Utd fans. <laugh>

I still think United are pretty poor, I just think Chelsea are worse.

They made that very easy for United in the second half.

Agreed, Tammy Abraham is ok but he's nowhere near the top 6 level. I also don't think lamps has done enough as a manager be near a top 6 side.

I can sort of see why appointing him was appealing to Chelsea with transfer ban etc. but yeah I think it was way too early for him though he was obviously never going to say no.

Might still work out of course but think it's going to be tough for them to get any higher than 6th this season and that's far from guaranteed.

Be interesting to see where they are after 10-12 matches.

I think he flattered to deceive at Derby last year, due to the many connections he has he could get himself the loan players but Derby were up **** creek without a paddle financially last year.

They were one of the many championship clubs who went for broke in the hope of going up and although they didn’t, Chelsea coming knocking allowed them to agree a healthy compensation package and keep the wolves at bay.

They are going for it again this year, and whilst I wish no ill on the players or fans, I hope chairmen who gamble like this come unstuck ....
