We confirm our safety, Citeh win the PL, Ajax win the CL against Barca (or vice versa) and the Skates get knocked out in the play-off semis...that would be my dream ending to the season.

*Tick* to the first part and the second part is looking more likely. The Skates need to get two wins and pray that one of Luton and Barnsley mess up in their final match to avoid the play-offs. Come on Ajax and Barca in midweek!....

De gea is a case in point that even the best goalkeepers can have long, poor spells and low confidence. Similar to one of our own (Not that I'm saying forster is that good but I'm terms of confidence or lack of it)
The sad thing for keepers is that their poor spells are writ large on the stage. A dry spell for a striker can be covered up by another team mate more easily.

And Pompey just to keep the pressure up!!! As for PFC ending up in the play-offs, most Pompey fans would have taken that at the beginning of the season. Sunderland´s presence in the división has raised the standard, as everyone in that división primed themselves for that particular fixture, thus allowing the other contenders to make hay. The same happened in our 2011/12 promotion winning season with West Ham being the team to beat, and credit to West Ham, they came through it.

Well my "dream ending" is fast becoming a reality.....can I be greedy and ask for the Skates to get knocked out after a play-off semi-final penalty shootout?

No, you can´t have your third wish! PFC are a local team and we should want all our local teams to win and grow their supporter base. Why should Chelsea or any of the other top teams, have thousands of alleged fans on the South Coast? They are not deserving of support from Hampshire. Our local teams are

let's hope we don't play like Burnley who aren't even trying tonight! (and leap above them)
I was just thinking that Cork and Schneiderlin might have an ol'buddy catch-up. Stekelenburg might have a word too. Then there's Cork's mixed loyalties with Sigurdsson too. It starts to get complicated after a while. Theo Walcott might be a bit remote these days. The truth is, whenever I glance at any game that doesn't involve SFC, all I really see are the ex-Saints players. If there aren't any, on either side, the interest dies very quickly.
I watched a bit of Spurs v Ajax the other night, just to see how Dusan was getting along. But of course there was also Alderweireld, and Wanyama. And Gazzaniga was sat on the bench. Was it all just a few seasons ago?

Hmm, I think Bournemouth have every right to be pissed with Craig Pawson. Dier should be off and they should also have had a penalty.

I wouldn't have been surprised at Sissoko reacting like that, but Son? Lost his head.

The ref is having a **** game. Got the son red card spot on tho

He did get the first two big decision wrong, but I do have sympathy with him with both. The penalty didn't look like a penalty to me on first viewing - it was only on seeing the replay, from a much better angle, that it becomes a clear penalty. And the Dier challenge, I couldn't call it live as to whether he won the ball or not. I was 50-50. Again, I needed a replay.

I think the referee's initial though with the Dier challenge was that it was probably a foul. But when he realised it would have meant a red card, he changed his mind. Had it been someone not already on a yellow, I suspect he would have proceeded to give the foul and yellow card. But to send someone off, you really need to be certain. And I can understand why he wasn't certain there.
