Yeah, they had £159m cash on hand as of November 2015, heh, and it was expected to be above £200m when this season began. Yet they've spent on other positions in recent years, often big fees. The choice not to buy a striker doesn't appear to be a financial thing, best I can tell, it's a Wenger thing.

The choice not to buy a striker doesn't appear to be a financial thing, best I can tell, it's a Wenger thing.

I do agree. The need for a striker is painfully obvious. More so even than ours.

Unfortunately, in our position it's not really something to shout about though, given the players we've lost in that time. Christ, if we hadn't been spending money we could be Aston Villa pretty soon (or already).

It was 4 years ago when he was a stupid and insensitive young man. In hindsight he must regret those tweets and as he older maybe he is wiser and his attitudes have changed as a result. Move on!!
