Man City did a rather clever thing, when taking over the Manchester Commonwealth Games stadium. They lowered the competition surface by several feet [think I've read 20ft in the past, but can't quite remember], which meant that the additional seating that would have covered the athletics track was able to keep to a steady downward angle consistent with stadium stands. The athletics track was taken up and relaid at other stadiums with worn out sections. Now if WHU did the same thing, but lowered the athletics tracks as well, as they have to keep it, they could keep the angle of seating from existing stand level to pitchside. Will they.? Shouldn't think so. That would actually cost them some money.

Perhaps we should all pay a bit more in various taxes to help them do that... And buy a new striker while we're at it.

Liverpool have agreed a £25m deal to sign Netherlands international Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle.

Not your standard Klopp signing there. When he see's how much he runs he'll be giving Allen a call! <laugh>

Hull in trouble already.

Another success story for the 'fit and proper' chairman test. Definition of nut jobs.

Didn't he rescue them from admin?

I know he has tested the fans patients somewhat over the years, but overall he has been great for Hull as a club. Trouble is he is selling and sounds like banking the money from last seasons promotion.

Can't see Poch leaving Spurs, but puts a smile on your face. :)

Oi, don't kill my moment of pleasure. Let's just let this hang around a little longer before we crush the dream :)

Come on Maurcio, everybody knows you're an honourable guy really and they've forgotten that tiny thing that happened at Southampton. Contract? Meh. It is the country you represented at a World Cup yourself. Come in. You know you want to.
