https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/ce8x4z0610lt#Line-ups Arsenal won 3 -1. BBC say that the attendance was 47,190. Not bad for a Stadium with a Capacity of 17,250!
I saw that as well last night, thought for a moment I'd missed the building of their super stadium! The BBC always rigourously fact check their reporting of course
They have now revised their figure downwards to be 17,190. Clearly, staff at the BBC read Saints 606 pages
Guardian speculating that Leicester could be at risk of points deduction again. Imagine we actually survive this season because of other teams getting the deduction hammer, I think it might be the only way.
They'd need a pretty significant points deduction for us to even think it's possible for us to survive
Does Brentford really only have a capacity of 17k? Madness thinking we have almost double that and can’t compete in the league.
Bournemouth is even less, 11k or something like that. It's all about having rich owners AND getting your recruitment right.
Something like that. They have the 6th biggest ground in the country! They'll be back in the PL sooner or later I'm sure.
Agree about recruitment Bournemouth’s has been great over the last couple of seasons however rich owners don’t seem to have the impact we might think. Look at Newcastle - one of the richest clubs in the world but can’t spend because of FFP. Only a quarter of the income of say, Spurs.
Oh for sure, having rich owners isn’t the cheat code that it used to be. You can have rich owners and still do badly, but I’m not sure you can do really well if you don’t have money behind you either.
