I find myself watching West Ham more frequently since JWP joined them, just so I can see his next free kick goal. Like in his last season with us, teams are still very reluctant to give him opportunities in the zone and I have only seen Newcastle give him the chance. Mind you their wall was full of giants and the free kick was too close for an up and over, into the top corner. He has history at Villa so fingers crossed he gets a chance.
Ending up with Ange, after being turned down by every other manager in the world, seems to be the very definition of a task failed successfully.
Didn’t see this. Sad news. Does this mean they are in even more trouble? I feel like he was one of the only things holding the club together amidst all the craziness? Or was he part of the problem there?
Absolutely a part of the problem. Seeking investment for years and not willing to compromise on his return and then selling to the dirt worst collection of chancers and lunatics. Oh, this probably isn’t good news either: https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...rton-to-be-hit-with-12-point-deduction-report
Incredible how badly Newcastle have reacted to that Havertz tackle. It had been making me feel quote sorry for the referee, because I think he called that tackle correctly. But that sympathy has totally gone now, given that Bruno is somehow not even on a yellow card, let alone having on early bath.
