Sorry, out this on the wrong thread, but Rayo are fifth in La Liga, so I see his point not wanting to take on the Leeds role. It’s in no way a reason to keep Jones in though, for so very many reasons.
Arne Slot has decided to stay at Feyenoord (I almost wanted him to leave, and say "I'll be back", but that's another story). They're going to get Gallardo and make me really sad, aren't they?
As funny as it is everyone turning Leeds down I don’t see how we would do any better if we were to sack Jones and try and get someone else. The likely outcome would appear to be to give it to Selles for the rest of the season, and I’m sure he isn’t blameless in the ****show of this season
I think Nuno, Gallardo etc are gettable. They have just gone for people doing good jobs in current employment. I wouldn't be sure of Selles for the reasons you mention. The list of odds for Leeds is interesting - https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/leeds/next-permanent-manager
My Leeds mates are all convinced it’s Poch they are getting, not sure where they hve got that from besides being deluded
Know nothing about him as a manager as don’t watch South American football at all. I’d imagine Nuno will be similar as he is managing in Saudi Arabia presumably on a fortune
I hope I am not left to eat my words on this but part of me wonders whether Poch is happily sitting and not taking a job just so he can have a good old laugh at all the fans from all the premier league no hopers frantically plead for him to be their manager when their one is sacked or leaves. I think he has been suggested for pretty much ever vacancy, sometimes even with a degree of seriousness by pundits (Villa and I’m sure I heard it for Leeds recently) and not foolish desperation from fans (Brighton, Everton, Us and indeed the two previously mentioned)
I will never understand being put off at the cost of a manager. Managers are extremely cheap compared to players in terms of both compensation and wages yet their impact is so much bigger than any one player. I get you may incur a large cost if you need to sack them, but you still have to pay a players wages if he turns out to be a flop... think of the Carrillo's of this world.
Forster not exactly having a great time of it. And again, I ask: how the hell did the silly man at Leicester leave Iheanacho out for so long when they needed goalscoring? Restored to the starting lineup and he has 2 goals and 3 assists in a match and a half.
Whoever was on VAR for the palace v brighton game needs immediate rehab if he thinks neither of those tackles are red cards.
