I know you mentioned Neville but there is a lot of bias in these things. I gather most people on this forum can’t stand Man United after all their years of dominance. And that seems to feed into complaints I expect to commentary would be very different if the goal was scored against us and ward prowse was being fouled The BBC feed said “he’s complaining about a foul on Eriksen and looks to have a point” in what I assume was a pretty quick post and after maybe one replay
United look very dirty under ten hag. Martinez and varane are fouling and shirt pulling at every opp and they’re all whining to the ref so much
Oh absolutely. And there will be many people that will think that as thats a foul it should be disallowed. But the fact that a fair few on here, the comms team etc disagree shows it is a split opinion. Its important to remember that VAR is only intended to overule absolute howlers such as mistaken identity, dives where there was no contact at all and to determine if fouls were inside/outside the box. It shouldn't get involved in that type of decision. As brendy mentioned above, VAR is not there to re-referee a game and get every decision 100% correct.
I like how inventive Arsenal are with their set pieces, but they don’t need to try and be clever with *every* one.
I said similar during their game at Leicester and having watched how they regularly grabbed our players last weekend. Very hands on.
If anyone wants a good laugh they should go on Foxes Talk and look at their manager threads They are calling for Pochettino, Potter, Mancini etc And one said Bielsa would make them a better defensive unit ?! They seem to have not spotted that they don’t have the money to both get rid of Brendan and bring in one of those high profile managers. Nor do they have the money to buy players for them. Nor would any want to go to Leicester. It is up there with the most delusional football fan thinking I have ever seen. Even including the Villa and Everton boards - and they are pretty out there I know a few saints fans wondered whether pochettino would come back. But “back” is the key word. At least he has been here before. And usually the qualifier is “will never happen though”. The amount of clubs who think he will go to them after Spurs and PSG is staggering
Not sure about that but I think if Southgate gave up his job tomorrow, Potter would be the next England boss.
That is a huge call. May prove true in time but currently he is nowhere that accolade. He does seem fantastic though.
