That was a rather aesthetically pleasing goal for City. They move off the ball better than anyone in the PL by a pretty substantial margin.
The Coutinho one? Nothing at all to do with VAR. All about the silly rule about playing on from an offside.
That disallowed West Ham goal was just a horrendous decision. VAR and ref conned by Mendy rolling around on the ground. No way was that a foul.
Hey what’s new. It’s broken; doesn’t work. Bin it. Go back to making refs “do their job” instead of continually “hoping” Var will bail them out. Yes,& take the chances the men in black will get it right. Yep, I know, pipe dream! Var is so far off of original it’s just unbelievable. Just me obviously.
It was a qualified referee failing to "do their job" properly which was the problem. Technology didn't disallow the goal.
Premier League and PGMOL to review VAR. -BBC. Better late than never. Can we have all our disallowed goals back please?
I get that Vestergaard and Soyuncu have both had shockers at CB (and on multiple occasions), and also that they both have the turning circle of a lorry, but I just can't buy that Ndidi and Amartey are better options at CB.
As said on the match thread, an insight into why we (and others) didn’t seriously move for him in the end…
Now, does Leicester give Rodgers one more match (a pretty important-looking home game against Villa), or do they pack his bags now? Ranieri got sacked for less, and he won them a title.
Home to Villa, then away to Spurs, then a two-week international break. They come back to a very nice looking October schedule. But if they lose those above two games first, I don't think it will Rodgers in the dugout for those October games.
5-2 seems to be the old 3-1. We used to be good at those. Who are so bad that we might get a 5-2 against them? Already had Leicester unfortunately.
Why walk away from a nice termination payout? Unless it's to move to another club, not too many managers choose to walk away from their club mid-contract.
From what I understand about him, I believe he is concerned about his reputation. If he feels he cannot improve things as they stand, I do not think he will hang around.
