Liverpool, going forward, are not the Liverpool of last season. No fluidity between midfield and the front line and much of their play has been slow and ponderous. Don’t look very solid at the back either. Utd really getting in their faces and pressing well, but the Liverpool of last season would have passed through the press a few times.
Liverpools bench looks like the sort of bench we had two seasons ago. Fabinho playing the Shane Long babysitter role
No Maguire, and suddenly Man Utd's defense looks more mobile. No Ronaldo, and suddenly Man Utd's attack looks more fluid. Funny, that.
I wonder what Klopps excuse will be? Pitch too dry? Crowd too noisy, or aliens landed just before KO putting the players off.
Out of interest thought I would check on oddschecker the relegation odds, we currently are in the top 3 to go down along with Bournemouth and Forest, is very tight though
I have been really annoyed that there has been no live coverage on Radio 5. I was listening to this match all day but have had to put up with the banality of the Monday Night Cub. A great result for Man Utd and, I would suggest, a match which will ultimately prove to have thwarted Liverpool's title ambitions. Over to Arsenal to challenge Man CIty.
Bookies not paying us any attention then. Leicester and Everton look more like relegation candidates.
I think we are in for a much tougher game next weekend after seeing that. Ten Haag seems to have organised them now. Still think if we put them under pressure they will be nervous though. Certainly a good opportunity for us.
Really tough at the top then! It might just help people at that level to understand how much effort and cost their supporters have to put in to watch way games.
Think the teams ahead of us before the season started were Leeds and Fulham who now are longer odds. We are similar to Everton atm but not exactly cut off from the rest as it’s so early in the season
We actually have got shorter from pre season I think, were about 3/1 now 11/5. Probably a reflection of other teams doing well
