Now it's interesting what City do. A draw isn't a bad result for them. Of course they have the quality to win this. But they could do with giving Fernandinho a bit of help. Shut the back door a little.

Whereas now, there is absolutely nothing for Liverpool to gain by beating us by more than seven. To be honest, it's incredibly unlikely to make any difference whatsoever as to how many Liverpool win by. Because the only way it goes down to GD is if Liverpool draw and City lose - which isn't happening. But if Liverpool so desired to cover off that incredibly unlikely scenario, then they could do so by beating us by seven and pulling level on GD with City. The subsequent City defeat in this scenario would duly see them drop below Liverpool on GD. There is nothing further for Liverpool to gain by beating us by more than seven.
