My book is irrelevant. What did the rulebook at the beginning of the seasons say about such a circumstance? I legitimately don’t know
I don't know either but for the sake of a fair competition you can't expect a team to put out an entire team of youth players. So injuries combined with covid will cause postponements. Like Brendy said, it's important the PL discover the teams who are trying it on.
Nah. I'll be doing Newcastle thread, as I don't think they'll change that. Their Covid cases should be better. Plus, don't mess with RTM.
Oh I agree and some clearly are trying it on. Palace notably. But can’t help but be suspicious of Newcastle
I'm hoping Newcastle have just enough fit players. In that scenario, I eye a rather handsome win for us.
True, but that was before the PL meeting which determined if you have 13 available outfield players plus a keeper you have to play.
Which is exactly what was happening to our detriment last season, and why we started getting twatted. It's part of the game ffs.
It's still ****housery, and gaming the system, which is why I absolutely hate it*. *until it happens to us, at which point I will 100% be supporting it.
If loads of your first team are injured, then you have to draft in youth players LIKE WE HAD TO LAST SEASON. Arrgghhhh.
Yeah - I imagine we would have liked to have postponed that Man United game until someone other than Jank could play
Yeah that would be ideal. Fraser's injury didn't look to be too serious, so he could swing it. (Of their 16 outfield players from yesterday, it's Wilson, ASM, Manquillo and Fraser who have apparently taken them below the threshold of 13. The first three quite possibly won't change before Sunday - Manquillo got a 5th yellow - but Fraser might. Or, of course, one of their existing absentees might be back.)
