Newcastle look quite worryingly good, but then I realise that we aren’t going to be anywhere as bad as this United performance. It’s hideous!
Wilson and stMSM out in one game, this is working out well for the Saints. Hate to see a great player hurt but that’s football.
He has. I’ve seen some good comments, after other games, about how well Joelinton has played in a deeper role. Not a great striker but skilful and has decent vision.
Schar hurt his hammy? Newcastle so deserve to win this. If they actually lose it would be so crushing.
nope. Keep em down with pressure on all season please. Utd won’t win anything this season and the mighty chequebook will get Newcastle anyone they want in the future.
Listening to Sherwood talking before the game about how sick he felt about Newcastle facing the mighty Utd like he hasn’t seen them play since the 90s. That performance has been coming and there will be more like them I reckon.
Can’t see Newcastle risking any players with niggly injuries, when they play Everton Thursday, as they will probably see our game as a better chance to get 3 points. But having said that, can they risk not playing their strongest 11, even if their key players aren’t 100% fit?
Newcastle really had to win that game. Maybe they would have taken a point before the game but United were there for the taking. Newcastle dropped 2 points tonight plus lost their 2 best players to injury. The Championship beckons I think.
I’m not sure they can afford to just give up on potential points in their position. And Everton haven’t exactly been in great form recently
