It put me off going to football for over 25 years. I had a particularly scary experience at White Hart Lane which terrified me, and that was a few years before Hillsborough.Yep those are my memories back in the 80s.
Always rather sit...view is better for anyone not over 6 ft. Doubt you are in the minority....a sizeable minority want standing and why not if it can be safely accommodated (away from me)..I may be in a minority, but I really don’t want to stand at football. Maybe it’s remembering the early 80s and what it was like, but give me a seat any day.
To be fair, it’s probably my age too![]()
Fernandes is a twat, crude yet succinct.

So Ole, was that a foul?
Was what a foul? Pogba on Neves. If so the answer is easy - No. But is your point that is was similar to Stephens on Fernandes complete with a Portuguese player attempting to cheat ?So Ole, was that a foul?
Maybe so, but I’ve got him as captain in my Fantasy team so wouldn’t mind a few goals from him[/QUOTE
There is that. Not picked him this year. Probably should have!
Still not looking forward to playing Burnley under this new approach. They bully us anyway!Don’t know about the rest of you, but I am loving the more physical aspect of the game with the ref not feeling as though he has to blow for a foul just because two players make contact with each other.
The game is becoming more open now and I can see this benefiting teams that play like we do, where we do get the body between ball and man.
Our game yesterday had so many ball turnovers it must have been quite entertaining for neutrals
