Glad that wasn't given as a pen, there was no distance at all between the players.

 

Lack of distance the ball travelled.

 

Not a penalty for me. But yet another one that I'd advise that Bertrand doesn't check out on the highlights.

 

That was my point, after what has been given this season....if I was an Arsenal fan I would be fuming.

Maybe referees need to be told not to whistle for penalties, for handball when the ball has travelled such a short distance, and leave it to VAR.
If the ref had given that, as did the ref when Bertrand was in a similar situation, VAR wouldn’t have overruled and a bad decision stands.
If they don’t whistle they can still be asked to review the decision by VAR and give a penalty if they decide that it should be.
