The lunge can be deemed reckless even if you win the ball cleanly. So by your logic it can't be a foul if you jump in with 2 feet and don't touch the player?

No because jumping in with two feet means you have no control whether you hit the player or not. Otamendi was in control with that challenge and therefore he avoided the player and got the ball, hence making clean tackle.

2-1 and that moment showed why I think Chelsea are better than Liverpool

The two sides of Pep's tactic, being highlighted. So many attacking players, that they create chance for fun (but just today, have missed them all - that's hardly Pepe's fault). But so few defensive players leaves them horribly exposed, when the opposition are able to get hold of the ball and attack them.

Luiz can't have had many better game for Chelsea.

Stones could be a great defend if he knew when to piss about with the ball and when not to. People say it's what Pep wants, but you only have to look at the cbs he had at Barca / Bayern. All knew whwn to simply get rid.

So, so much credit to Conte and Chelsea for the way they've turned this around since being outplayed by Liverpool and Arsenal. I imagine that right now, they're most people's favourites for the title now (so long to go yet, of course).

Other managers could learn from Conte.

It was later on, but Leicester did exactly the same thing last year to make themselves title favourites. So yeah, that's where we are now.

Disgraceful scenes. Conte and his celebrations didn't help; Bye Aguero.
