Absolutely. But he played a fun counter-based game, especially in the last bit before he left. He also didn’t take any heat from the fans because he was brutally honest about what was necessary and what was possible under Mike Ashley. He told it like it was and said that they had massive issues that meant pragmatic football was the only way without big investment.
