Far easier to give a penalty against Saints at the Emirates than against Liverpool at Anfield. Refs are under so much pressure they tend to give the bigger teams more than the benefit of the doubt.

Gus Poyet in charge of a side that was picked, in part, by PDC. The sidelines of the Stadium of Light may run red with blood before this season is over.

Andy Cole/Alan Shearer for the former, Alan Shearer (different year)/Cristiano Ronaldo for the latter. CR had the best strike rate, at 0.91/game...Suarez is topping that ever so slightly at 1.58 goals per match.

Amazing. So do we think he's the kind of striker that comes along once every 10-15yrs or is it the way liverpool are playing with him? Shame he's such an arse!
