Firstly we were never in the race ... and secondly we're just 2 points off 4th place so mathematically anything is possible. Arsenal have really improved but have some tough matches coming (city and everton) , so do Chelsea (city and spurs) and Liverpool have lost one of their best players and are inconsistent... so in 3 weeks time we may be back
Thanks, I actually think we can finish above them, particularly without Lucas. I dont see them finishing higher than 6th, there are 5 better sides in the league IMO and Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham will probably all finish anywhere between 3rd and 5th.
Our run in the top was great fun but I never expected us to finish there, our squad depth is several seasons worth of improvement away from those heights. But the better than expected start and the way we have been playing has me thinking 7th is realistic. Going into the season I would of snatched your hand off for a 10th place finish so i'm delighted with our season so far. I'll be very surprised if we beat Liverpool to 6th.
Well aside from Suarez I think they've overpaid hugely for a number of average players (Downing, Carroll, Adam, Henderson).
look on the bright side , liverpool are hit and miss, Villa are so cra@p its unreal. i can easily see Newcastle finishing above them.
