    Toxic not just for dogs BB. but it tastes so bitter that poisoning is often prevented by this - an adult would need to eat one gram per 5kg body weight in order to reach a dangerous dose and the taste of it would prevent this happening. I guess it depends on the age of your collie - puppies will try to chew on anything but older dogs generally won't. Our next door neighbour has dogs and monkshood in the garden (which is far more dangerous than foxgloves, even just by touch) without problems.
