If they want his wages off the books I wonder if a loan for the season might suit everyone. I'm not sure he'd be up for a permanent return and given his previous injury woes I don't know how long-term a solution he'd be for us.
Fair enough. I wonder if they'll think the same 12 hours before the window closes. Mind you, I hope we get someone in before deadline day and aren't still looking for a striker at that point.
Villa have signed Duran. Heard he is Wild Boy though. It's Notorious. I think we should Save a Prayer for them, unless he is keen for goals and Hungry Like a Wolf. He is good in the box though especially The Reflex. I'll get my coat and holiday to Rio.....
Have a hunch that any of these names in the latest Athletic article are back-ups. I bet the club are keeping comms on main targets water-tight after debacles in the summer.
Three semi public striker pursuits that all failed being those debacles? In general they are primarily debacles within the fan base. The footballing world seems to have utterly ignored our pursuit of some of those players. For example every article on Gakpo banged on about Leeds narrowly missing out on him and most did not mention us at all. Which I can’t get my head around
Can we honestly see Villa selling Ings to us before we play them on Saturday? Perhaps it all happens after the weekend,?
Some odd links there. Semenyo is not prolific at all and also doesn’t seem to be a physical presence either Jackson is primarily a left sided attacker - and we now have loads of them. Edozie, Orsic, Armstrong - with Djepenp also able to play there
Apart from Ings they all seem a bit crap if im honest. No ive not scouted them but their records just dont align with our needs, not even close. Give us Ings.
Where has before the weekend come from? There doesn’t appear to be any mention in any of the posts that we will have someone in before next weekend
