Saints asked about McTominay but united said no. Thank **** because he is crap, he will be in lower leagues within a couple of seasons
I think he’d actually be quality for us. Not quite good enough for United but could be great at a smaller club where there is less pressure.
Moffi apparently signing for Nice https://www.brila.net/super-eagles-striker-terem-moffi-agrees-terms-with-ogc-nice/
I'm sure they did. Nice 10th Saints bottom. Strikers a seller's market recruiting quality difficult for many clubs more attractive than us.
Nice have haven't had their bid accepted btw. Both us and them have had bids rejected now. But apparently the player wants to stay in France.
That won’t stop some of our fans trying to bash the club if he doesn’t come. South of france over south coast? Not having to learn (or speak) a second language. But no - it will be our board not trying hard enough for some
As much as the likes of you and I would see living in the South of France and the language as big reasons to prefer Nice over Saints (club loyalties aside!), I expect it is solely because we are rock bottom of the league. The PL has such a huge pull as you can potentially get a move to one of the biggest clubs on the planet, if we were mid table I suspect he would be all over us.
No idea whether he's available, but Iheanacho is barely playing with Leicester. He has a history of doing good things when he plays. If he's available, he's a very logical target.
As you may know I follow Napoli quite closely (in fact I type this wearing my Napoli home shirt) and I can second that. Unbelievable player and one of the reasons Napoli had a mid season blip last year after a strong start as he got injured. Napoli last night were simply sensational against 2nd placed Juventus…their 5-1 win actually dropped Juve to 3rd on GD. Napoli have a 10 point lead atm and a great chance of their first Serie A title since 1990 I think and the Maradona years.
Yeah, I'm a big fan. 267 minutes in nearly half a season seems like he should be available, but he seems to shift in and out of favour, and seems to have a relatively high tolerance for that.
But isn't Jim Radcliffe putting loads of money into Nice and funding a big project there? Whether they can every truly challenge PSG is another matter.
half a season in the premier league would still be a big draw. Even if we don’t survive, if an individual performs well then they’ll have suitors and PL proven on the CV
