Of course. I'm just saying it's not as simple as we signed Lavia and then Romeu decided to leave. There have been rumours about Romeu wanting to move back to Spain for a couple of years.
Players often get other injuries when returning from a serious one like an ACL. Hopefully Tino can get through this and be eased back without any further setbacks.
These things don't tend to *quite* be separate, but good it's not a recurrence of the original injury.
He did, but he’s done that every so often and then gone on a run of being bang average/poor, so let’s hope this system suits him and he continues good form.
I am now definitely in some sort of coma that I need to wake up from (or maybe not as it’s ok in here). First we beat City and restrict them to no shots on target, and now someone says this sentence.
In his defence, he is not suited to a 2 man midfield and never has been. One of Ralph’s biggest failings was his obliviousness to this fact. Both JWP and Diallo can shine in a 3. And he never tried it.
Well that's not true is it. JWP, Lavia and Diallo all started the 2-1 win over Chelsea. And then Lavia got injured.
Diallo seems to play well against good teams. He was excellent against city, arsenal and Chelsea but then goes missing or struggles against teams that hound and harry for every scrap. Hopefully this can be a turning point as I think he has huge ability and talent.
Ive always thought fans were very quick to write Diallo off. I think it comes from the fact we signed him into the 1st team at 20 rather than developed him through youth teams. Look at Tella* or Josh Sims for example, Diallo has put in better performances than either of them but fans kept with them a lot longer. Tella is the same age and despite having been loaned out fans still seem to rate him more than Diallo. *not that we developed him completely but he was brought into our youth sides. I don't know if he will make it but I think at 23 and always having played in a struggling Saints side, it is probably too early to say.
