Just been reading some of Rowett's quotes about he game.
"It was not a great performance" ever since you've been the coach.
"We did enough to get in good positions....." The stuffed it up because we have no striker.
"A lack of quality in our team........." You can say that again. You're the coach, do something about it.
Lots of excuses but no answers. He should go into politics.
 
As I said a few weeks ago just get this season over and done with, have a major clear out and get new players in, having the crowd back next season will make him change tactics, just over two months of this pony to go.

Win against Derby County 1 - 0, good, but looking at the match stats as posted by the BBC, Derby had most of the game. The only point we excelled was in the number of fouls. Still, a bit churlish to complain about three points. Well done, Lions.

The game was dire Brissy, we set up to break up the play and look to catch them on the counter which explains the high possession figure of Derby, they got a few dangerous crosses in on us during the second half but fortunately they had no one to get on the end of it.Most of the time the ball was in the Derby half or midfield as they tried to launch an attack on us.
We need a good clear out during the close season and bring in some new players, we need to work on introducing a more attack minded style of play otherwise Rowett is going to get tons of abuse next season if they carry on playing this way with a crowd in attendance.

Thanks, Ringo, a 'live' report is always better than the Beeb. I've been saying for a longtime that concentrating on mid-fielders and defenders ain't going to win us any games. We need someone to score goals. :emoticon-0148-yes:
