He's been far too much of a pussy for too long, but there's at least two things that I respect him for.
The first is turning down the offer of an early release from his POW torture in Vietnam.
That's pretty ****ing unbelievable, frankly. Takes some balls.
The second was his hilariously cinematic no vote on the Republican healthcare **** up:

I think that he's probably tried to be a decent man throughout his political career, but he's backed the wrong party.
Even he realised that when he ended up having Sarah Palin inflicted on him as his VP.
People will always support Trump, he is the nearest thing to a legalised Mafia, he has set world policies away that makes it impossible to impeach him before a big bang.. He wants the fuss and history but bones laid bare, he is a plastic, lying, hypocritical ****..

Not too bad at the minute mate. Got my chemo knocked back a week. Didn't take it too well which was a bit of a surprise to myself, but only for a few hours. Was back on an even keel the next day.

Is it really true that Trump coloured a stripe in the USA flag blue on a school visit?
Or is it a piss take?
Even he can not be so stupid that he thinks the US flag has a blue stripe which suggests he was deliberately colouring it wrong.
If genuine and he has done the latter, in my opinion this makes him massively hypocritical for condemning American Footballers who knelt during the national anthem before matches as "disrespecting the American flag."
They were making a serious point (whether or not people agreed with it) yet were threatened with bans and fines.
Or maybe he is genuinely that stupid that he doesn't know how to colour the flag.

I suspect McCain was far more the voice of the GOP than Trump will ever be; but Trump appeals directly a large section of the to the electorate than most Republican Senators could ever hope to, so most fell in line once he won the nomination. McCain was a notable exception, but even he briefly endorsed Trump's candidacy - until the Jeb Bush interview, in which Trump boasted about sexually assaulting women, went public.
I think Trump is viewed with disgust by most of the GOP establishment, but they have shown a remarkable lack of courage in failing to turf him out of the party. Having him as a Republican president is akin to Farage being parachuted in as a Tory PM. Pretty sure that could never happen, but then you can't be sure of much these days.
