Half a century of nominating ineffectual Democrats for fear of the terrible risks of choosing somebody who would actually do something brought us Trump. So, given the choice between the most ineffectual of them all and the one US politician you could count on to try to make things better for most people...

While I vote for them every election, I swear I loathe the Democrats more than the Republicans do.
Biden seems to have been chosen for the same reason that Clinton was: It's their turn.
Not sure why Americans have suddenly decided that queues are a good thing, to be honest...

The old fart does have quite broad appeal though, for some reason.
He seems to do well with moderates, independents and those that don't really follow politics.
That might work out well for the Democrats, apart from the fact that the election is going to be rigged, again.

Here's a higher quality version, though it does have some added, unnecessary commentary:

Perfectly prepared to sacrifice the plebs to the Free Market Economy God.
Ended up sending himself to the ICU.
But, of course, we're not supposed to consider A&E departments sending people back to care homes without giving them testing sounds uncannily like the sort of eugenics that Dominic Cummings' "weirdos and misfits" all espouse...

Looking forward to how the bootlickers try and "But Corbyn..." their way out of this one...

Danny Dyer's just going to do that and mean it, isn't he?

Poland and Denmark have taken unprecedented steps to exclude companies registered in tax havens from coronavirus relief schemes.
Last year groundbreaking research found Britain was by far the biggest enabler of global corporate tax dodging.
An index published today by the Tax Justice Network found that the UK has "Single-handedly" done the most to break down the global corporate tax system which loses an estimated $500bn to avoidance.

And thus, Brexit.

I totally agreed with this stance but then thought what about the employees who would lose jobs , I give not a **** for the owners and i would dearly love to see our country come down like a ton of bricks on these crooks but we will never see it as i suspect politicians from both sides have too much to lose

Nobody that would change the system will get into a position to do so.

Coincidentally, this leads back to our good friends at the PFA

Remember a few weeks ago where they took the coward's route and hid behind the NHS, saying the tax on footballers' salaries pays for x-many nurses so their members shouldn't have to take wage cuts even though that's the primary outgoing for literally every single football club? Yeah, the HMRC beg to differ on that, as they're currently investigating 330 footballers, 55 clubs and 80 agents for tax-dodging

But don't worry, somebody will look at this evidence and come to the Route One conclusion that Levy needs to go...
