    N Shropshire by-election only called because Johnson supported Patterson's refusal to accept a 2 week HoC suspension for flagrant corruption.

    Patterson forced to resign in disgrace and Tories get shafted in one of their safest seats.

    Think that's what is called a self-inflicted wound.

    Totally accept the voting % is consistent. That's one of the fundamental problems with UK 'Democracy''. Electoral voting should be a civic responsibility.

    It's far worse in the US, where turnout often is lucky to get close to 20% in some caucuses

    Is that because he was at the party he's supposed to be investigating, or because he held his own party that isn't being investigated?
